Birth Registration and Certificate

Birth Registration and Certificate

Obtaining a Birth Certificate in Ndu

New Birth Certificates

For newborns within the Ndu Municipality, a birth certificate can be obtained within 90 days of birth. To initiate the process, please provide the following:

  • For Married Couples:
    • A photocopy of the marriage certificate
  • For Unmarried Couples:
    • National identity cards of the mother, father, and two witnesses

Late Registrations and Declaratory Judgments

If you’re registering a birth after the 90-day period, you’ll need a declaratory judgment from a court of law. To obtain a declaratory judgment, you’ll need to provide:

  • Photocopies of the identity cards of the parents

Note: A nominal fee may be required for processing the birth certificate.

Please visit the Civil Status Department of the Ndu Council for further information and assistance.
