Ndu Council Organizational Structure
The Ndu Council operates under a hierarchical structure with the Mayor at the apex. The Secretariat General, a key administrative arm, oversees several crucial departments. These include:
- Human Resource Unit: Responsible for personnel management, recruitment, training, and employee relations.
- Civil Status and Population Growth Section: Handles vital records, population data, and demographic analysis.
- Legal Affairs, Litigations, and Insurance Section: Provides legal counsel, represents the council in legal matters, and manages insurance policies.
- Economy and Finance Department: Oversees financial planning, budgeting, revenue collection, expenditure monitoring, and economic development.
- Technical Department for Planning and Urban Development: Handles town planning, construction permits, infrastructure development, and urban transport.
- Department of Hygiene and Sanitation: Focuses on public health, waste management, environmental protection, and disaster preparedness.
- Social and Cultural Department: Promotes social welfare, youth development, sports, and cultural activities.
In addition to these departments, the Mayor directly oversees the Municipal Treasury and Stores Accountant, as well as the Municipal Police. This structure ensures efficient administration, effective service delivery, and overall governance of the Ndu Council.
