The Ndu Council convened a crucial budgetary orientation meeting today, November 9th, 2024, to chart the course for its development program over the next three years. A diverse and representative gathering assembled, including all seventeen village committees and six neighborhood committee coordinators from Ndu town. Adding to the robust participation were twelve village chiefs, two ardos (traditional leaders), presidents of various village development associations, representatives of the community of people with disabilities, esteemed religious authorities, heads of key institutions, influential internal elites, and council members. This broad representation ensured a comprehensive understanding of community needs and priorities would inform the budgetary process.
The meeting’s central focus was the presentation of Ndu Council’s ambitious development plan for 2025-2027. This comprehensive plan detailed proposed projects across various sectors, encompassing infrastructure development, social services, and economic empowerment initiatives designed to improve the lives of all Ndu residents. A thorough evaluation of past projects was also undertaken, analyzing successes, challenges encountered, and lessons learned. This critical retrospective analysis served as a valuable foundation for refining the strategies and approaches outlined in the new development plan, ensuring a more effective allocation of resources in the coming years.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with participants offering enthusiastic congratulations to the Mayor and his team for their accomplishments to date. Moreover, the attendees actively engaged in providing valuable recommendations for future projects, highlighting specific needs and opportunities within their respective communities. This collaborative spirit underscores the commitment of Ndu’s residents to actively shaping their future and working in partnership with the council to achieve sustainable and inclusive development for all. The feedback gathered will be instrumental in finalizing the 2025 budget and ensuring it effectively addresses the priorities of the entire Ndu community.
